Campsites
Each of the 22 campsites is equipped with a fire pit with attached grate, a picnic table and most had a bbq stand and lamp post. The road and driveways were gravel while the sites were dirt and poorly trimmed. Most campsites had partial to full shade.

Yes there is a hand pump equipped well. We don't taste the water but it looked good.

There was one vault style outhouse which was clean and stocked with paper at the time of our visit.

The South Fork of the Boise River is a great trout stream. Give it a try.

One could certainly play in the river but there is no designated swimming area.

The "Power Plant" trail takes off from the entrance sign.
Recreation
Recreation here would include camping, fishing, hiking, traill riding(ATV) and likely a few gold prospector find they're way here. Also there is a hot spring near the entrance sign. You will notice a pond as you drive in, look there for the spring.
Wildlife
Deer certainly and there were bear warnings on every table. The warnings are instructions on how to avoid bear problems by proper desposal of your garbage and storage of your food.
Fees & Res.
The fees posted as of 9/1/21 are $15 for a single campsite and $30 for the group area.

Power Plant Campground is situated on a flat and some hills on the east band of the Middle Fork of the Boise River. The trailhead and group site are on the flat while the campsites start on the flat but continue into the hills. Other than a dry meadow near the entrance the area is covered by a mature forest. There are 22 campsites 3 outhouse style toilets, a handpump equipped well, a hot spring, a trailhead and a group site that make up the Power Plant Recreation area.
i don't believe the campgorund is used a great deal at least some campsites had weeds growing in the driveway and around the picnic table. At the time of our visit only one car was occuping a campsite and appeared to be day-use rather than camping. the temperature reached the low 80s.

Getting There
I came in from Mountain Home in my Ram pickup. That route is "not recommended" for RVs or trailer traffic and I agreed. However you can drive up the Middle Fork of the Boise River from Lucky Peak or cut over to the same road from Idaho City.
