Twenty-five Mile Bar Campground
Twenty-five Mile Bar Campground is on the Selway River at Twenty-five Mile Creek. The area is heavily forested. We visited in late June in a wet year. The high roads were not yet open and it was quite green. The road into the campground takes a steep dive from Selway Road and looks a little more frightening than it really is. I would not recommend bringing a large RV into the campground as it is too tight and steep. The camping is right on the river bank and such a pretty setting! I think the Selway River is one of the prettiest rivers in Idaho.

Amenities

Campsites
There were 3 or 4 sites, the last one and the first one were the nicest. They have a picnic table and fire ring with attached grill. The road and driveways are gravel. All camping sites have direct access to the river.

The outhouse is older and smaller than most but was clean and well supplied.

You will need to provide your own.
Pets
There are no pet stipulations, and the camper in the last site was allowing their three dogs to run free. They gave Terri a scare but were just overly friendly.
Picnic Area
The campground is free so if a site is open feel free to picnic in it.
Handicap Access
No.
RV Dump Site
The nearest RV dumping station is at the Wilderness Gateway Campground on the Locsha River.

No cell service here. Lowell, Idaho, has a pay phone but I think we lost cell reception close to Kooskia, Idaho.

Recreation

Fishing
You have direct access to fishing the Selway River for trout, steelhead and salmon. Check the regulations.
Boating
There is a beach here which one could launch their raft or float adventure from.
Swimming
Swimming the Selway River is at your own risk.
Recreation
Camping, fishing, hiking, backpacking, rafting, kayaking, floating and photography are all recreations offered at or near Twenty-five Mile Bar Campground.
Wildlife
This is wild country so pretty much any wildlife could be seen such as whitetail deer, elk, moose, bear, fox or wolves. Do take care with your food and garbage to avoid a nighttime visit from a hungry bear. This country is low enough to stumble across a rattlesnake.
