Three Island Crossing State Park
Three Island Crossing State Park is located along the eastern shore of the Snake River at the historic Oregon Trail's crossing of the river near Glenns Ferry, Idaho. It has a musem and other historic displays as well as access to Carmela golf course and vineyard. The park is like any good park with shade trees and large open lawns for playing games with the family.

Amenities

Campsites
There are 82 campsites divided into two loops. The upper loop, Wagon Wheel, is set on a hill over looking the day use area, some sites having a great view of the river. While the lower loop, Trailside, is below that hill nearer the river. Each campsite has a picnic table, barbecue stand and fire pit although some sites are designed to be shared with the next site like mini groups. The roads and driveways are paved and there are paved paths to the restrooms.
Water
Pressurized water is available at each campsite.
Restroom
In the upper loop there is one large restroom facility with toilets, lavs and showers. The lower loop has two such facilities. All of them were clean and well stocked.
Electricity
There is 30 amp service available in each campsite. Per reserveamerica.com, some sites offer 50 amp service but you need to click on the "details" tab and even then not all sites indicate the amps available.
Firewood
Firewood can be purchased through the camp host.
Pets
Pets are allowed but must be kept on a leash.
Picnic Area
There are several picnic tables scattered throughout the day use area for your picnic.
Handicap Access
The park is handicap friendly.
RV Dump Site
Three Island Crossing State Park has a RV dump station which is free to use.
Host On-Site
There is a host in the upper loop. They have firewood and ice available.
Nearest Shower
There are showers in each loop and the day use area.
Nearest Laundry
There is a laundry facility in town. Check out their sign in our "Signs Info" section.
Phone Service
I didn't see a pay phone on site but we had good cell service on our ATT phones. In addition, there are pay phones in Glenns Ferry only a mile away.
Garbage Services
There are garbage dumpsters available in both loops to dispose of your garbage.

Recreation

Fishing
Fishing is available in the Snake River. Check the regulation here.
Boating
None from the park.
Swimming
None.
Recreation
The main recreational attraction here is the golf course at Carmela Vineyards located next to the park. It's a nine hole course winding through the vineyards.
Wildlife
The only wildlife I would expect you to see here are birds and a squirrel or two.

Fees & Reservations

Fee Schedule
Single sites cost $23.32 while doubles are $40.28 per day. There is also a $5 per day vehicle entry fee unless you have your annual permit. That same permit waives the online reservation fee.
Reservations
You will need to reserve your campsite at reserveamerica.com. If this link fails as they change their address often, just search for "Three Island Crossing State Park" on reserveamerica.com. It came right up for me.
