Sugarloaf Campground
Sugarloaf Campground is located on the east shore of Cascade Lake and is a "loop" of Lake Cascade State Park. It is set on a gentle hill covered with a well trimmed lawn. There are pine trees and bushes scattered about the campsites. The view of the lake and surrounding mountains is fantastic! This is a very popular camping site. Many fishermen choose to stay at Sugarloaf Campground while they fish.

Recreation

Fishing
Fishing is great in Cascade Lake for large and smallmouth bass, trout, perch and Northern Pikeminnow.
Boating
Boating is the main attraction here. Whether you are fishing or water skiing, this is your spot. There is a a nice large ramp with handling docks on each side and a large parking area for your trailer. If some of your party doesn't want to go out, there is a day-use area with picnic tables and barbecue stands right on the shoreline.
Swimming
There is a swimming area near the parking lot to the east of the docks. No lifeguard!
Recreation
Recreational activities include camping, fishing, swimming, water skiing, jet skiing, hiking, sunbathing, photography and watching wildlife.
Wildlife
One could see deer near the campground but the main wildlife viewing opportunities here are the birds. There are many birdhouses on the fence line along the road into the campground and scattered about the hills nearby. Check out my picture titled "Fishermen".
