Spillway Recreation Site

Spillway Recreation Site is located near the south end of Anderson Ranch Dam. It is a Boise National Forest camping site. The surroundings are a mixture of sagebrush and forest set in a steep valley. North slopes and draws are forested while the southern exposures are open sagebrush. Spillway Recreation Site is named as such because it is located by the spillway. If you want my two cents worth, I stopped for lunch here but would never camp here unless I was wanting to bank fish the deep water near the dam. I found it dry and unappealing.
