Campsites
Sockeye Campground has 20 RV campsites. I call them RV sites as there are no tent squares. The roads and driveways are paved and there is a cement pad in which the picnic table, cooking table, and fire ring are set.
Water
Sockeye Campground also enjoys a pressurized water system with okay flavor.
Restroom
Vault style outhouses which were clean and well stocked.
Firewood
Firewood is available through the camp host for $6.00 per bundle.
Pets
Pets are allowed in the campground on a leash only.
Handicap Access
The toilets are handicap accessible but one would want to choose the right site as many have stairs separating the driveway from the table area.
RV Dump Site
There is an RV dumping station at the central services area.
Host On-Site
There is a host but we did not meet them.
Phone Service
We didn't have reception with our ATT cell phones, but there is a pay phone at the Central Services area.
Garbage Services
Garbage service is available in bear resistant containers.
Fishing
Redfish Lake is stocked with trout and there is a Kokanee run. Check the fishing regulations.
Hiking
There are many hiking trails near Redfish Lake. Take a look at our hike to the Bench Lakes.
Recreation
Boating, swimming, and horseback riding are available but at the other locations. All three of these activities can be check out at our Redfish Lake area page.
Wildlife
You might see a deer wandering about the campground. We saw one on our way through. Bear live here so use caution with your food and garbage.

Sockeye Campground is one of the newest addition to the Redfish Lake area. As part of the Sawtooth National Recreation Area, the campground enjoys beautiful views of the Sawtooth Mountains and easy access to some wonderful backpacking country. There is a trail heading south from the south end of the campground. You might enjoy a hike on it.
