Shoreline Campground
⚠ Notice: Due to a large bear population in this area, BE SURE to store your food in your vehicle or camper.
Shoreline Campground is across the road from Warm Lake on the north shore. It is set in a ponderosa pine forest and is fairly level land. Shoreline has been renovated and has paved roads and driveways throughout. The boat docks and beach are just across the road a short walk away. Northshore Lodge is down the road a quarter mile or so. If the beach by the campground is busy, there is a very nice beach a little ways past Northshore Lodge. Notice: As of August 3, 2011 bears are stealing food from campsites even during the day. Use extreme care storing your food.

Amenities

Campsites
There are 32 tent / RV camp sites, 5 of which are double sites. There is a group area with 6 individual RV sites, 4 tent sites and a group shelter.
Water
Drinking water is available from a well, equipped with a hand pump.
Restroom
The restrooms are newer vault style outhouses. They are clean and well stocked.
Firewood
Firewood is available for purchase from Warm Lake Lodge and Northshore Lodge.
Pets
Pets must be leashed.
Picnic Area
There are picnicking areas along the lake on the north shore.
Handicap Access
This is a handicap accessible campground from tables to outhouses.
RV Dump Site
The nearest RV dumping station is at Cascade, Idaho.
Host On-Site
The hosts are very friendly and helpful.
Phone Service
There are pay phones at both lodges, but we had no cell reception with our ATT phones.
Garbage Services
Garbage service is available. I strongly recommend using the bear resistant containers provided. We camped here years ago and was woken up in the middle of the night by a bear tearing our next door camper's cooler apart.

Recreation

Fishing
Warm Lake is stocked with several species of trout and is fishable from the shore or by boat.
Boating
Boating is allowed on the lake, but I don't believe water skiing is allowed. There are boat ramps and docks in at least 2 locations on the lake and you can rent boats from either lodge.
Swimming
There are nice swimming beaches in more than one location along the lake. There is a developed swimming area at Warm Lake Lodge.
Recreation
This area has good hiking, biking, ATV trail riding, fishing and hunting. If you wish to see moose, this is one of the more likely areas to see one, especially to the south of Warm Lake Lodge.
Wildlife
There are deer, moose and bear commonly seen nearby. Do use the bear resistant garbage containers to avoid a nightly visit, and put away your cooler!

Fees & Reservations

Fee Schedule
For 2010, the fee for a double site was $30.00, singles were $15.00 and your extra vehicle another $5.00 per day.
Reservations
Per the host, 17 sites are reservable at recreation.gov. This campground is very popular. If you are coming up on the weekend, I would recommend reserving a site in advance.

Getting There

From Cascade, Idaho, travel north on Hwy 55 a half mile out of town to make a right hand turn onto Warm Lake Rd. Warm Lake is almost 26 miles and will be on your right. The road into Shoreline Campground and Northshore Lodge is first. Shoreline Campground is about a half mile down this road on the right. Warm Lake Campground and Warm Lake Lodge turn off is just a quarter mile on up the road.
