Salmon River Campground
The Salmon River Campground is located NE of Stanley, Idaho, along the Salmon River. It is divided by Hwy 75 which runs between Stanley and Challis, Idaho. The riverside loop has fewer trees and shade but has access to the Salmon River, while the upper loop tends to have more forest, shade and privacy. This stretch of the Salmon River is very popular for fly fishing. We saw one fisher lady several times as we worked our way downstream reviewing campgrounds.
