Red River Campground is nestled on the banks of the Red River east of Elk City, Idaho. The site is level with a few pine trees scattered throughout. The hills surrounding the campground are fairly gentle and are covered with forest. We saw many deer and elk nearby. The Red River Hot Springs at the end of the road to the northeast was closed during our visit. I understand it reopened later in 2010 and is still open for 2011. (I can't find info on whether it is open or closed).
