Campsites
8 tent only camp sites, most have tent squares. All campsites have a picnic table, fire ring and grill.
Water
Potable water is available.
Restroom
The vault style outhouse is clean and well stocked.
Firewood
Firewood may be purchased at the Northshore Lodge just a short walk away.
Pets
Pets must be on a leash.
Handicap Access
The outhouse is handicap accessible but the campground would be a challenge.
Host On-Site
The host for Shoreline Campground also serves as host for Picnic Point Campground.
Phone Service
There is a pay phone at Northshore Lodge a short walk away. We had no cell reception.
Garbage Services
Garbage service is available in bear resistant containers. There are many bear in this area so use caution with your food storage and garbage disposal!
Fishing
Picnic Point is the only campground actually located on the shore of Warm Lake, so access for fishing is better here than elsewhere. Warm Lake is stocked with trout.
Boating
There are no boating facilities at Picnic Point. There is a boat ramp near Shoreline Campground, and boats may be rented from either Northshore Lodge or Warm Lake Lodge.
Swimming
There is a beach just to the west of Picnic Point Campground, but there is no lifeguard or marked area.
Recreation
Swimming, camping, fishing, boating, hiking, wildlife viewing, ATV riding and much more in this area.
Wildlife
Deer, bear and moose are commonly seen at Warm Lake.

The fee schedule for overnight camping is $15.00 per site.

All 8 camping sites may be reserved at recreation.gov. This area is very popular so I strongly recommend reserving your site in advance.

Picnic Point is a walk in only tent camping campground. Campers will need to pack in their gear from 50 to 200 feet. Most sites offer a view of Warm Lake. The parking area, paths, and sites are all dirt/gravel. The campground is set in a ponderosa pine forest, offering partial shade. There are wood staircases providing access to the lake.

Getting There
From Cascade, Idaho, travel north out of town on Hwy 55 about one half mile, take a right turn on Warm Lake Road. Continue on Warm Lake Road 26 miles to Northshore Drive which is also a right turn. The campground is less than a mile on Northshore Dr. on the left.
