Garbage service is available in bear resistant containers.
Fishing
Redfish Lake is stocked with trout several times a year, and the lake has a run of Kokanee Salmon. Check the fishing regulations.
Boating
The boating facilities are at Sandy Beach Boat Ramp for Redfish Lake.
Swimming
Outlet Campground has a very nice sandy beach with a picnic area next to it.
Recreation
Activities in this area include boating, swimming, canoeing, kayaking (on the Salmon River), hiking, biking, backpacking, horseback riding, fishing, photography ( this area is the most photographed area in Idaho) and much more. There is shopping in the quaint shops in nearby Stanley, Idaho, or the drive to Sun Valley is only about one hour.
Wildlife
Deer abound here. We saw one wandering about when we were reviewing these campgrounds. Use caution with your food and garbage to avoid problems with the bear that also live here.
Fee Schedule
The fee for 2010 was $32.00 for a double site, $16.00 for a single site and $5.00 per day for your extra vehicle. Double sites allow for a second vehicle.
Reservations
You may reserve your site at recreation.gov ,and I would recommend you reserve very early for the months of June, July and August.

Outlet Campground on Redfish Lake is situated on the north shore near the outlet into Redfish Lake Creek. The Redfish Lake area is part of the Sawtooth National Recreation Area and is nestled against the Sawtooth Mountains. The forest in this area is thin and offers limited shade or privacy, but the beauty of the lake and mountains more than makes up for this small shortcoming.
