Outlet Campground
Outlet Campground near Outlet Bay on Priest Lake offers a variety of settings. There are a few sites on Priest Lake but most are on the wooded slope above the lake. About half of the camping sites are heavily wooded, while the other half have been thinned, leaving a much more open environment. There is a picnic table and fire ring at each site. I found the campground to be poorly maintained. Broken tables, trees fallen through campsites and when I tested the water it ran dark rusty water for about 30 seconds. The sink in the bathroom was very rust stained. The roads and driveways are paved but the pavement has not been maintained and is falling apart. To be fair, I saw a lack of maintenance while my wife saw "rustic". We visited in late June and the campground was empty. Of course, this has been a very wet spring so maybe campers are holding out for warmer weather.

Recreation

Fishing
There is access to Priest Lake at the campground or one could drive to other locations. Priest River is only a short drive away.
Boating
There is not a boat ramp or dock here but it is a short drive up the lake past Luby Bay to the Fish and Game boat ramp.
Recreation
The big attraction here is Priest Lake for fishing and boating. The area is beautiful! I am sure many people come to hike the trails in the surrounding mountains. There is a beach with a roped off swimming area. When we were there, the lake was high so the beach was underwater. I'm sorry we don't have pictures of the swim area.
Wildlife
Deer could easily be seen in the campground in the morning or evening. This is bear country so take the normal precaution with your food and waste.
