North Park Campground
North Park Campground is a Idaho Power recreation facility. It is currently being expanded and improved. Construction should be complete before summer according to Idaho Power's web page. It is situated above CJ Strike Dam on the shore of CJ Strike Reservoir. Activities include fishing, fishing and fishing, as well as swimming, camping, boating and more fishing! There are 4 group shelters scattered throughout the facility, and there is a day use area.

Amenities

Campsites
North Park Campground has 30 RV camping units along with a separate tent camping area. Each campsite includes a picnic table and a camp grill over a fire pit. There is adequate space for RV's and camp trailers. The campground is covered with sand and gravel and surrounded by grass and dirt.

Yes, there is drinking water available in the campground.
Restroom
There are flushing toilets in the campground and we found them to be clean and well maintained.
Pets
Pets are welcome on a leash.

Handicap accessible.
Phone Service
There is cell phone reception in this campground, but limited. There is a pay phone at this campground.
Garbage Services
There is a garbage dumpster available.

Recreation

Fishing
North Park Campground is designed with the fisherman in mind. Near the boat docks there is a group shelter for the purpose of trophy presentation during bass tournaments. Fishing includes bass, crappie and trout among others.
Boating
There is a boat ramp with a 12 slip dock at this campground, along with a large parking area.
Swimming
There is a beach area complete with break water for swimming.

Fees & Reservations

Fee Schedule
As of May 2017, Camping at North Park RV sites daily fee is $10 during the summer season and $5 during the winter, while the tent sites are $8 during the summer and $4 in the winter months. Seniors received a $2 summer discount and a $1 winter discount. Disabled Veterans receive a 50% discount. Idaho Power has changed the rates at least twice recently so don't be surprised if they are a bit different when you get there.

Getting There

CJ Strike Reservoir and the area campgrounds are located 21 miles south of Mountain Home. From I-84 take exit 95 at Mountain Home. Travel south on Hwy 51 for 21 miles to Bruneau. From Bruneau continue traveling west on Hwy 51 for about 2 miles. Take Hwy 78 right for about 6 miles, turn right on Black Sands road to CJ Strike Dam with North Park, Scout Park and Locust Park campgrounds.
