Killen Creek Campground

πŸ“Œ Washington πŸ“ 46.294184,-121.548989 β›° 4,450 ft
Killen Creek Campground is located along Killen Creek only a few miles northwest of Mount Adams. The area is heavily forested with wildflower filled meadows  scattered about. The road in was rough already in July. When I visited there was a group camping before their climb up Mount Adams the next morning.

Fishing
Fishing is available in nearby streams and lakes. Tahklahk Lake had been stocked with "jumbo" trout.
Boating
No.
Swimming
No, one could play in the creek though.
Recreation
The main recreational activities are fishing, hiking, photography and mountain climbing. There are several trails to hike. I have included pictures of the maps of these trails in the "Host and Views" page on Takhlakh Lake Campground review. These maps are available from the host also. For a photographer this area is wonderful both for the greenery and the scenery.
Wildlife
Deer are common here and black bear roam these hills but there had been no report of bear in the campgrounds.
