Indian Creek Campground - Central Washington

We visited Indian Creek Campground in July of 2013. The following were our observations of the campground. Indian Creek Campground is located on the northwest shore of Rimrock Lake next to Silver Beach Resort. Andy Creek provides a western border. Rimrock Lake is available for swimming, skiing, canoeing and fishing. The campground is set in a mature forest with a bit of undergrowth. In general it is rather open with little privacy.

Amenities

Campsites

There are 39 campsites and all may be reserved. The road and driveways are paved and each campsite is equipped with a fire ring with attached grate and a picnic table. Many of the driveway are short, only 20 to 26 feet, while a few are as long as 40 feet.

Water

Yes there is drinking water available throughout the campground through a pressurized system.

Restroom

The campground has older vault style outhouses. They were clean but are far from most campsites.

Electricity

No.

Firewood

I didn't see any firewood for sale but it is common for the host to be offering firewood.

Pets

Pets are allowed but must be kept on a 6 foot leash or in a kennel.

Picnic Area

None.

Handicap Access

I would not consider this campground handicap accessible.

Host On-Site

Yes there is a camp host on site.

Yes.

Recreation

Fishing

Fishing is available in Rimrock Reservoir and other nearby streams as well as Tieton River.

Boating

Rimrock Lake is available for waters sports such as skiing as well as fishing.

Swimming

Swimming in the lake is allowed however I didn't see any beach or designated swimming area.

Wildlife

Deer are common as well as black bear however if one spents the time you could see a mountain goat, bald eagle, northern spotted owl, wolves and grizzly bear.
