Evans Creek Campground
Evans Creek Campground is located on the north shore of Anderson Ranch Reservoir at the mouth of Evans Creek. As you will see from the pictures, the area is a mixture of forest and sagebrush. The lake is set in a steep valley. It is only a two hour drive from Boise, Idaho, so many of the campers come from that area for a weekend get away. The lake offers a place for fishing, water skiing and jet skiing.

Recreation

Fishing
Anderson Ranch Reservoir offers fishing for trout, sockeye salmon, bass and perch. Check the fishing regulations for seasons and limits.
Boating
The boat ramp at Evans Creek Campground is dirt. I am not sure it is usable under adverse weather conditions but Elk Creek Boat Launch is 4.4 miles miles to the west.
Swimming
There is no designated swimming area.
Recreation
When camping here you could enjoy fishing, water skiing, jet skiing, four-wheeling, sunbathing, hiking or taking a few photos.
Wildlife
Deer, elk, black bear, wolves, coyotes, squirrels, duck, geese and many other animals call this area their home so have fun looking for them if wildlife watching is what you enjoy.

Reservations
These campsites may not be reserved. We visited Evans Creek on a rainy weekend in June and it was still half full. I believe one would need to come early to get a site here during July and August.
