There are eight campsites in Diamondfield Jack Campground. Site 1 is a pull-through with two long tables, a fire pit and a barbecue stand. Recreation
Camping, fishing and hiking are the primary activities. This is high country, approximately 6900 feet, so you will find alpine forests. This is a great area for "birders". The many trails allow people to get to many spots which would otherwise be unavailable for observation.
Wildlife
Deer are common and one could see bear, elk, wolves, coyotes and many small forest animals as well as many bird species.
Fee Schedule
There was no fee schedule posted but I called the forest service and found they charge $8.00 per day(2013).
Reservations
This is a first come first serve facility.

Diamondfield Jack Campground appears to be a large parking lot used by Magic Mountain Ski Resort during the winter. Campsites were placed around the edge of this lot for summer use. The campground is fully forested except for the large open parking lot. I believe each site is well shaded except site 7 and it is partial shade. There are many trails in the mountains around.
