Crown Point Campground
Crown Point Campground is part of the Lake Cascade State Park which has more than 200 campsites in several locations around Lake Cascade. It is set on the eastern shore of Cascade Lake only a mile from Cascade, Idaho, and is covered with a mature forest. The area has small rolling hills with some large boulders scattered about. The shore is sandy which makes for a nice beach. There is a set of mooring docks for your boat and parking if you want to bring your boat and trailer back to the campground at night. Crown Point Campground is a very pleasant campground which strikes a certain balance between the highly developed park like setting and primitive camping.

There are deer, fox, squirrel and birds. There is a bear warning, however, and I was told there has not been any trouble at the campground in recent years.

The single campsites are $14.84 per day including sales tax. Campsite 10 is a "companion" site (double) and is $29.68 including tax. Your extra vehicle costs another $8.48 per day. The day use fee is $5.00. There is also notice of an additional fee if the ranger has to collect from you.
Reservations
According to reserveamerica.com Crown Point loop is a "walk-in" only loop. Which mean you may not reserve these campsites.
Fees & Res.
For fees and campsite availibility follow this link. On March 29, 2025 I found I could reserve a campsite mid-week in June for $32 minus $5 as an Idaho resident. However by the time you add the fees and tax the one day total was $43.32. That's a lot of money for a place to park with a picnic table and fire ring, no electricity or sewer.

Getting There

From Cascade, Idaho, take Highway 55 North toward McCall, Idaho. Just out of town you pass a building that looks like a church; turn left onto Vista Point Blvd. Crown Point Campground is 1.0 miles west on Vista Point.
