Cozy Cove Campground

πŸ“Œ Warm Lake And Deadwood Res Area πŸ“ 44.290582,-115.653254 β›° 5,320 ft
Cozy Cove Campground is located on a hill that is surrounded by Deadwood Reservoir on 3 sides. There is a mature mixed pine forest which provides plenty of shade. The reservoir provides the recreation here whether it be fishing, boating, water skiing, canoeing, kayaking or swimming. The majority of the campsites have direct access to the lake but not all.

Recreation

Fishing
Ther are trout and salmon in the reservoir however we had little luck catching anything big enough to keep.
Boating
Yes, there is a small boat ramp. The lake is open to water skiing but I am not sure I have ever seen anybody doing anything other than fishing.
Swimming
There are no designated swimming areas but there are some very nice beaches that appear as the water levels drop.
Hiking
Check out Idaho Trails Map.
Recreation
Recreation in this area is primarily related to the lake. Fishing, boating, canoeing, kayaking, swimming. However there are a few hiking trails also and later in the year hunting begins.
Wildlife
Deer, elk and crane are common here. Black bear and wolves live in this area also. There use to be a sign warning of the wolves but I didn't see it this year.

Getting There

I have included this GoogleMap to help you find you way. Oh, if you are thinking of coming up forest road 555 I would not recommend it with a trailer. Either way the road is likely to be rough.
