There are 11 RV / tent camping sites. Sites 3 and 6 are pull through sites. The road and driveways are all gravel and each site is equipped with a picnic table, a cooking table and a fire ring with attached grill. Site 11 has three picnic tables and a large fire ring.

Pets are welcome but must be kept on a leash.

I don't know of an RV dump station in this area. There is one if you are leaving to the east at the Big Smokey Guard Station.

Fishing
Fishing in the South Fork of the Boise River is primarily for trout. There are also whitefish and a kokanee salmon run here. Check the fishing regulations for seasons and limits.
Boating
No, but one could float the river although I have not seen anyone doing this.

There is no designated swimming area.
Recreation
Camping, fishing and trail riding by motorcycle or four wheeler are the most popular recreational activities here. Hiking, sunbathing, photography and watching the wildlife is also available.
Wildlife
Deer, elk, bear, wolves and many smaller animals and birds live here.

Chaparral Campground is located along the South Fork of the Boise River east of Featherville, Idaho. There are 11 camping sites, most having access to the river. The land is flat and fairly open and rather dry. The campground has trees scattered throughout which offer shade in most campsites, even so this is a hot place during the summer. The surrounding mountains are forested and offer several trails for riding.
