There are 10 campsites, each having a picnic table and fire ring with attached grill. Sites 3 and 5 are double sites. If you are interested in camping on Big Smokey Creek, sites 5, 6 and 8 are right on the bank. I enjoyed my night of camping in site 8.

Yes. There is a hand pump equipped well. The water wasn't bad just a little iron in it.

The nearby trails winding through the mountains surrounding Bowns Campground seem to be the main attraction. Fishing, hunting and camping are also good reasons to come here.

I saw a doe and her young buck at Lightfoot Hot Spring which is a couple miles west along the road.

Bowns Campground is situated along the south bank of Big Smokey Creek east of Featherville, Idaho. The campground is on level ground with pine tree and willows growing throughout the area. There are several trails for hiking, biking and riding in the mountains nearby. It is great for camping while riding the trails.
