The Susan Creek Recreation Site is nestled along the shore of the beautiful North Umpqua River. It is a nicely developed campground with 29 campsites and a camp host. Paved roads wind between mature evergreen trees. The dense forest gives a feeling of seclusion, this is the kind of campground my wife loves.

Fishing is available but is fly-fishing only. Please check the regulations.

Rafting and kayaking are popular.

Temperatures reach over 100 Degrees during the summer so I am sure most people will find a spot in the river to cool off.
Hiking
The Susan Creek Trailhead is only a short drive to the west and the 79 mile long North Umpqua Trail passes nearby. You might checkout this website I found about this trail.

Hiking, fishing and just camping are the popular activities in this area. There are several beautiful waterfalls to check out also.
