Trout Creek Campground is situated along the South Santiam River about 19 miles east of Sweet Home, Oregon. The campground was built in the 1930s and the picnic shelter with fireplace is still in use today.

Campsites
There are 24 campsites of which 4 are pull-through (Ranging from 24 to 40 feet). The roads and driveways are paved while the campsites are mostly graveled. They are heavily forested which provides a more private setting.

There is water available from a hand pump equipped well.

You will find 3 vault style outhouses which were clean and well stocked at the time of our visit.

Picnic Area
There is a rustic picnic shelter with a fireplace and BBQ. Parking is limited having only 3-4 parking spots.
Handicap Access
Due to the paved road and driveways this is a much more handicap friendly campground than average.

No, however there is a new facility in Sweet Home.

There are multiple garbage cans available.

Recreation

Fishing
Trout Creek Campground is situated on the South Fork of the Santiam River and there are other waters nearby to fish. Just make sure you check the regulations first.
Boating
Not from the campground.
Swimming
One could enjoy the river however due to new regulations you might need a permit.
Hiking
From Sweet Home, Oregon, travel east on Highway 20 for 19.8 miles. Trailhead is on the left, across the highway from, and east of the entrance to Trout Creek Campground.
Recreation
Camping and fishing are the obvious recreation activities.
Wildlife
This area is heavily forested so could have deer, elk, bear, mountain lion and many other forest "spirits" living here.
