Also not likely!

Hiking
There are several short hikes outlined on the park brochure. We hiked to Mouse's Tank which was about a mile and a half round trip. We also hiked a loop near White Dome. For more infomation see our review of the Valley of Fire State Park.
Recreation
There are many natural features to visit by either driving or for a more in depth look by hiking.
Wildlife
We saw birds, lizards and one lonely desert sheep. However most wildlife in this very hot dry area is nocturnal and are not likely to be seen. Resident birds include raven, house finch, sage sparrow and roadrunners. Lizards, snakes, coyote, kit fox, black-tailed jackrabbit and spotted skunk make their homes here. If you happen to see a desert tortoise please leave it alone as they are very rare. Rattle snakes do live in this area.
